Vital Signs 1.7 - Windows Update Instructions

These instructions are valid if you are upgrading from Version 1.6 or a previous 1.7 version. Contact Vital Soft support for assistance if you are upgrading from Version 1.5 or earlier.

Backup Existing Directories

• Create a backup bin directory: X:\vitalsigns\bin_ccyymmdd

• Copy all files (and sub-directories) from 'X:\vitalsigns\bin into the backup directory.
• Delete any old bin backup directories that you might have created during a previous installation.

• Create a backup config directory: X:\vitalsigns\CUNAME\data\config_ccyymmdd

• Copy all files (and sub-directories) from 'X:\vitalsigns\CUNAME\data\config into the backup directory.
• Delete any old config backup directories that you might have created during a previous installation.

Install New Bin Files

• Download the v17 Bin files.

• Open the zip file and copy the bin and module files into X:\vitalsigns\bin

Install New Sample Config Files

• Download the v17 Sample Config files.

• Open the zip file and copy the sample config files into X:\vitalsigns\CUNAME\data\config
