Start Server

Only UNIX connections are supported at this time.

Selection

• All features available in Visimage 2.6 have been implemented except for the "Refine Current Selection" option which has been depreciated.

List Designer

• All features available in the Visimage 2.6 List Designer have been implemented.

Report Designer

• All features available in Visimage 2.6 have been implemented.

Output Options

• All output options have been implemented.
• Native Excel output has been added.

Job/Task Creation

• Basic job creation is available. Jobs can be saved as local files only.

Features not implemented:

• The job settings for the list of tasks are not saved in the context
• Job files cannot be saved on the host.

Tool Window Lists

The tool windows, located on the right hand edge of the designer, contain the item list as well as variables, macros and operators.

Miscellaneous

• Wait. Autosave

Known Issues

Performance

After a drag and drop from the item list to the report designer, performance may be exceedingly slow. Windows task manager shows very high CPU use. This issue has been seen on only one PC and is easily reproduced on that system.

File open performance seems to degrade after extended product usage. If experienced, please save your work and then exit and restart Visimage.

Tool Windows (Item/Variable/Macro Lists)

- Drag and drop to grid windows (sort and compute) does not always work as expected

- Click + Shift-Click inserts fields in the wrong order

- Fixed. Typing the first character(s) of a name does not work in "Tree View"

- Fixed. Typing the first character(s) works once in "List View" (You must click back on the list again before typing more characters)

- Drag & Drop does not work from List View (only from Tree View)

- Fixed. In Tree View the list must be re-expanded whenever the window is reopened.

List Designer

- The page header text area is not visible on some smaller monitors.

- Fixed. Do not allow an Empty list or report to be executed.

- Fixed. When a list has at least one sorted column and Summary Only is selected (but there are no summaries), no T lines are generated.

Report Designer

The insertion point will occasionally "get lost". Usually, if you click on a field and then click on the background, the insertion point will reappear.

You must shoot items into the sort window before shooting any items onto the Report Design screen. Once there are items on the design screen, you will be unable to shoot items into the sort window. Save your work, exit Visimage and reopen the context. You will then be able to shoot items into the sort window.

Miscellaneous

- Fixed. Adding a variable, but not completing the add causes a problem

- Fixed. Read User Prompt from classic Visimage context and add to initial value with a ?

- Changes to the IP address or port (while the server is already started) will not take effect until you Exit Server

- Fixed. The prompt to Save Context Changes appears even when no changes have been made to the context.

- The No Domain Open error is not properly handled if the user starts server with no databases open.

- Sample values for an array defaults to the first element (there is currently no way to get samples on other elements)
