Vital Signs 1.7.08 - Windows Update Instructions

These instructions are valid if you are upgrading from Version 1.6 or a previous 1.7 version. Contact Vital Soft support for assistance if you are upgrading from Version 1.5 or earlier.

Backup Existing Directories

  • Backup the bin directory:
  • Rename the existing bin directory (X:\vitalsigns\bin) as bin_ccyymmdd
  • Delete any old bin backup directories that might have been created during a previous installation.
  • Backup the config files:
  • Create a backup config directory: X:\vitalsigns\CUNAME\data\config_ccyymmdd
  • Copy all files (do not copy the Campaigns sub-directory) from X:\vitalsigns\CUNAME\data\config into the backup directory.
  • Delete any old config backup directories that might have been created during a previous installation.

Install New Bin Files

We recommend that you right-click and choose "Download linked file as..." (or the equivalent option) as this should prevent your browser from automatically unzipping the file during the download.

  • Open the zip file and copy the bin and module files into X:\vitalsigns\bin
